No. Insurers must treat customers fairly under FCA rules. They can only reject a claim if there's a genuine policy exclusion or if you made a material misrepresentation.
They must acknowledge your claim within 5 working days and decide within 35 days (or 70 for complex cases). Missing deadlines is a breach of their duties.
Ask for their decision in writing with reasons. If unhappy, complain to the Financial Ombudsman within a year. It's free and independent.
